Summary

Donald S. Wong was the first Chinese to be certified as a pilot by Pan American. While a CNAC (China National Airline Corporation) pilot he was 'medalled' for his feats, including the US Distinguished Flying Cross. Donald was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He met Mary Lee while in Shanghai and they married there on 11 April 1937. They settled in northern California upon returning from China.
