Summary

Photograph captions suggest that Chin Toy was the father of Chin Gong and that he probably managed Fang Cheong Loong at least c1905. Another caption confusingly states he was the father of Sun Cheong Leong. Sun Cheong Leong may be an alternate spelling of his business Fang Cheong Loong.

Stone and Steele state that Chin Toy was father to four sons including William Gong Chin (or Chin Gong), Sam Chin and Chin Ack Ming. He died in 1947.
