Interpretive description

Note that the peacock feather awarded to Quong Tart in 1894 is not worn in his hat in this portrait. Not all copies of this photomontage have the 'With compliments..' statement printed on them. Based on D001082 Quong and Margaret Tart with two of their children the children in one of the photographs are: Ann Alice Vine and Henrietta 'Ettie'.
