    Title
Kong Meng's Building 1934, Melbourne, Victoria
    Description

There is a spelling mistake on the name of the building which reads 'Kong Meng’s building’s with 1887 as the building's date. This building is belived to be on the corner of Celestial Ave [?] and Little Bourke Street, probably 208-210 Little Bourke Street. The building was demolished prior to 1987 and replaced by the rooms of the Ning Yang Society (old name for Toi San (Tai Shan) society).
The left hand business is called 'On Hie'. The character on the door shows that ‘On’ is infact ‘An’ the character for 'peace'. Window has some text about what the company does in English. 208 Little Bourke Street has a name plate which is difficult to read but probably says the Ning Yang society in Chinese and in English.
