Wedding of Alice Tock and William Gee with bridal party, c. 22 April 1918, by Yeoman & Co, Bourke St, Melbourne, courtesy of S. Millard (private hands).

Title
Wedding of Alice Tock and William Gee with bridal party
Description

Left to right: Queenie, Lily (seated), Evelyn, William Huey Gee (groom), Constance, Alice (bride), unidentified man, Rose Chun See Tock, and Doris Tock.

Date
c. 22 April 1918
Place
Australia - Victoria - Melbourne
Interpretive description

Norman King, son of Queenie King (nee Tock) identified the people in the photograph. Due to the closeness of his relationship to the family this is believed to be more accurate than the identification on S.Millard's photograph where Doris and Queenie's names are reversed. It is unclear why 'Mrs Tarn' has been written on the back of this photographic portrait. The 'R. Tock' referred to on the back of S.Millard's print refers to Rose Leong Tock the second wife of Leong Cheong Tock and mother of Alice Tock. Place information is based on the studio location.
