In 1998, the photograph had only recently been identified by a visitor who recognised an ancestor in the photograph. The photograph includes a number of Chinese with their hair rolled, probably in queues. The museum catalogue entry reads 'Probably the Chinese Mission, a project of the Albury Presbyterian Church at the turn of the century.' The Donor is noted as the Albury and District Historical Society.
