Details

According to birth, death and marriage indexes Charles Lim Kee and Alice Ah-Long had four children in the 1889-1913 period: Leslie Glen (b.1897- ), Alice Hazel (b.1900- ), Charles Edward (b.1904- ) and Queenie (b.1902- ). All children were born in Rutherglen.

There was also a Charles Lim Kee who had two children with Nellie Ah-Tong in Melbourne: Edwin William (b,1912 - ) in Fitzroy South and Ronald Wilmot (b.1913- ) in South Yarra.

This may have been a different Charles Lim Kee or he may have had a second wife possibly after the death of Alice Ah-Long. An Alice Maud Long who's parents are listed as 'unknown' died in Melbourne East (which covers the Chinatown area) in 1904 aged 41 years. It is possible this is Alice Ah-Long.

Sources used to compile this entry: Victorian Births, Deaths and Marriages (up to 1913).
